Happy New Year!

Here is my holiday card from this year featuring my dog and cat. This year, as with most in the past, I spent my holidays traveling around the country visiting friends and family. I took planes, buses, trains, subways and cars as I froze my butt of in the frigid Northeast. I visited five babies who were all around the same age and some were probably part of the baby boom that happens after the Pittsburgh Steelers with the Superbowl. I am excited for 2011 and grateful for all the opportunites I had in 2010. It was a very busy year and that seemed a little overwhelming at times. I guess it is better to be overwhelmed than underwhelmed.

Flora Pop for the Wall Street Journal by Las Vegas Professional Photographer Jacob Kepler

As someone who has traveled around the county, living in a van, I have always really liked the look of these teardrop shaped trailers with their stainless steel finish. I would have never though of turning it into a business, which is exactly what Victoria Hogan from Flora Pop did. Flora Pop is a full service, all inclusive pop-up wedding service. Hogan travels to various places around Las Vegas, uses the trailer as a sort of altar, and is licensed to officiate the wedding. We met near Nelson's Landing for the photos.

Les Grossman

Les Grossman is a longtime concert promoter and entertainment executive who has worked with acts like The Who and Led Zepplin. He is such an interesting guy that he is portrayed by Tom Cruise in the movie Tropic Thunder.  He lives on the edge of Vegas, so I decided to meet him at his home for the photo. I took a bunch of photos, but liked these the best because of a the great light you get at night in Las Vegas when the city's lights bounce off the clouds.

Goodyear Clothing for IMG Worldwide

IMG Worldwide recently asked us to do a commercial photography shoot for Goodyear Clothing. Originating in Akron, OH, Goodyear has become one of America's most iconic brands. We shot for three days, spending a day at SpeedVegas, a day at Nelson's Landing, and a day at Valley of Fire.  Each day started around 6AM, and we utilized a one or two light setup for most of the shots. We worked quickly to get the best light of the day. The best part of working for Goodyear is the variety of cars we get to use for the shoot. The photos will be used for print and online advertising.
